New blog from Master of Finance graduate

By Anthony DeAngelis - Updated 1 year ago

I'm a Blogger

Hello everyone. A week ago I was a student enjoying his summer. Now I am a blogger! Interesting how fast things change.

A little about myself; I just recently finished my Masters in Finance from Villanova University. Before that I was in corporate banking doing  advisory and business development at one of the largest banks in the world. I have been a manager, a student, a banker and now a student again.

I come to this blog because of my love of finance and my passionate support of the specialized masters degree. Since finishing undergrad I have wanted to purse an MSF and I finally have achieved this wish. Along the way I found that in the USA the specialized masters in commonly misunderstood and not valued as highly as I feel it should be. My goal is to promote the degree and inform those who are looking to join it’s ranks. I do this through various avenues, but mainly through simply getting the word out.

Now I do realize that this site is focused on the quantitative side of the specialized masters. I also feel that we are brothers with much overlap. I hope to create awareness and also to learn from you.

To the fun stuff. I am opinionated. I am also deeply interested in finance and enjoy learning from others. My blog is going to be an amalgamation of my experiences, my opinions, graduate finance and your comments. Please challenge me, argue with me and disagree. I pride myself on have an open mind and have been known to change my opinion as soon as information is made available to me which persuasively contradicts my opinion. Long story short, bring it on and lets have some fun!
