NEW YORK, Sept, 25, 2009 – The financial engineering news organization Quant Network proudly presents the first quantitatively based ranking of Financial Engineering / Mathematical Finance MS Programs located in North America. The ranking is based on publicly available data from Xmarks, and uses a proprietary analysis algorithm developed by Quant Network.
Twenty-three programs were ranked. The results are reported in groups of five, listing the programs alphabetically by school within each group.
The same algorithm was used to rank US Business Schools whose resulting ranking can be found at 2009 Quant Network Ranking of US Business Schools
The Quant Network Ranking is significantly closer to the 2009 US News and World Report Business School Ranking than the 2008 Business Week Ranking and the 2009 Forbes Ranking of Business Schools, suggesting that a ranking of Financial Engineering Programs done according to the US News and World Report methodology would result in a ranking similar to the Quant Network Ranking above.
