ok maybe not baruch, but toronto and nyu both have 100% placement where as princeton is at 95% and cmu is at 92% but u cant go wrong with any of them

im not sure but im guessing NYU, Baruch, and Toronto MMF, they all have nearly 100% placements

just wondering, those of you who are going to Columbia (MSFE, MSOR, MAFN) and are not from NY, what are you guys doing for housing? I applied University Housing but I dont think Masters students have priority. I was also looking over craigslist and its filled with broker ads. Any thoughts or advice?

i was looking over the MSFE curriculum curriculum and I did not notice any courses on Stochastic Calculus. Btw do they use Shreve's book? am i missing something?

where did u find the curriculum? btw, quiet frankly, the only thing i dont know already from that list is stochastic calculus plus, i see no need so many courses on optimization and monte carlo, seems redundant to me

the only problem with cornell is that the curriculum is very weak. a lot of the courses are from the business school and are not quantitative enough

well, just obey the constraints for as long as possible. ie fill the first column/row, second column/row, and so on

basically you assume that there is some duplicate in the diagonal, then come up with an algorithm to fill in the matrix, eventually you'll run into a contradiction, ie. one of the columns/rows will have duplicates

is it just me? i can still edit my MFE application. ie. upload new statement of purpose, resume, etc... whats going on here? did my app not go through properly? will they see the new changes?

does anyone know if Columbia MFE gives out alternative offers for OR? ie. if I apply to MFE but they offer OR to me instead.

i just wrote my GRE and got 520V and 800Q. will i get weeded out during the initial screening due to the low verbal score?

is there any advantages of submitting an early application? i dont really see the appeal of it. i mean one could argue the opposite, applying late gives you more time to study for gre and prepare and whatnot. but applying early?

since im beginning to apply in September, and my final marks wont be out until April of next year, do they make decision base on my 3rd year marks? would my 4th year marks make or break my chances?

i mean from a grad school perspective if applicant A had industry internships and applicant B was an undergrad research assistant, all other things being equal. which applicant is more likely to be accepted into the program
