I have done my graduation in industrial engineering and mba in finance. I have also done FRM. I currently work in a consulting company where i work as quantitative analyst and primarily work on validating pricing and risk models with limited coding exposure for different banks and asset management firms. I have the option to move into quant developer in middle office for one of the hedge fund where primarily i will be coding 90 percent of the time developing risk systems. I want to grow my expertise in both finance and coding side. Will it be good move career wise and also please advise what kind of roles can i grow into with these kind of experience?
