I'm currently a junior in college and I'm thinking about applying MFE programs right after graduation. I'm a CS/STAT double major but hesitating between those different areas of STAT major. Which one should I do? Any advice?

It depends how rigorous an econometrics focus could be. Although at the undergraduate level, it could be more focused on econ than stats. I'm not sure though!

Anyhow, mathematical stats will give you the strongest understanding of statistical theory, which is highly important. Also you are a CS double major which is nice.
