I believe that I speak for a lot of people when I say I want to be a quant but don't know specifically what type. There's stats arb, risk management, etc. Could someone describe the different types and what we can expect from each job? For example, I know risk management is supposed to be easier to land a position than a front office quant role. Similarly, the back office role is supposed to be more laid back. It would be great if you could describe each of these different roles and your opinion on the pros and cons. Thanks!
