Hi Fellows,
just got admission to the MathFinance Program at ICL, and am hesitating if I should take the offer. My main concern is the opportunity to get a job after this one-year program in England as an international student. Anyone has any experiences or insight? Another alternative for me at the moment is NYU Tandon, so some pros and cons info between these two programs will also be highly appreciated! Thanks a lot!

Imperial is a good name, but Brexit would probably lead to a softer financial job market in the UK. Many sell-side firms are moving employees to Europe. Not sure how recruiting would work for you if you have to look for jobs in France or Germany.

I'm inclined to vote for NYU Tandon because of this, though there are increased risks to having the H1B visa route cut off with Trump policies.

Hi volmacro, thanks for the info! I wont mind looking for jobs in continental Europe esp. Germany; that would actually be my preference since I am also fluent in German and picking up French. Do you also know something about the name of IC in Germany or France? I am not sure how strong IC is compared to schools like ETH, Paris VI, EP etc.

Sorry, don't know Europe much at all as I'm U.S. based. I just notice some people at my firm's London office who went to IC. Otherwise I probably won't even recognize the name IC.

Imperial is in the same league as those schools you mentioned.
NYU Tandon IS NOT there yet.
