Recently my role as an IB FO quant has been put on risk of redundancy and I interviewed internally for redeployment, a MO risk IT team gives me a job offer straight away. This is not an ideal job, as least not the kind that I want to spend the rest of my career...but given the dire situation of current job market, it feels really hard to letting go a bird in the hand.

Now the problem is if I take this job would it be difficult for me to move back to FO when the market picking up? Because I have only 1+ yr experience in the FO, would the experience in the IT team become a stigma on my CV? I've been interviewing elsewhere but havent got any feedback so far... please share your thoughts about my dilemma, many thanks.
