Hello folks,

I am a newbie to this forum as well as to this field. I am currently pursuing MS in Engineering Management at Northeastern University and has decided to pursue my concentration in quantitative finance.

Courses Fall 2012
1) deterministic operation research : OR 1
2) Engineering probability and statistics

Courses Spring 2013
1) probabilistic operation research :OR 2
2) Economic decision making

Coursera courses:

1) financial engineering and risk management - Columbia university
2) computing investments 1- Georgia institute of technology

I seek your advice in selecting my future courses. These below options were suggested to me by my advisor.

1) stochastic calculus and no arbitrage for finance
2) algorithms
3) machine learning

Please suggest me, are these courses in direct relevance to a quant field? And if possible suggest me some other necessary courses.

Thanks in advance
