As a recruiter or manager which would be the more appealing MSc. thesis from a theoretical physicist? (I know the acronyms make no sense to you but what is the gut instinct)
High Energy Theory: Hybrid MC Monte Carlo (from lattice QCD)
High Energy Experiment: Machine Learning with ATLAS or LHCb (CERN)
I am aware that none of these are quant finance I am also very interested in all of them and all could lead to publication. I'm also looking to get a publication in deep machine learning as well as the above.
My career aims are:
Work in Quant. for 10yrs and have some fun with quant. fin. then get PhD and make a contribution to science. I want it all.
Thanks in advance
