Good things you only get bored. Lot of people got bigger belly with these midtown lunch spots.
I used to walk with my co-workers all the way to 8th Ave. Lot of small restaurants, far from the midtown traffic. Good excuse for some exercises.

If you're near Times Square and you're looking for sit-down dining for ~$10/plate, there's always Pearl's, Saigon 45, and Pongsri.

If you're willing to go a bit more expensive, City Lobster at Rockefeller Center has a lunch menu that has more in common with $10/plate than their (over the top) evening dining prices.
