Hey Everyone, great site!

I am a 25 year old Canadian, living abroad (China).. Because I spent nearly 5 years in the military straight from high school, I am just getting started in a BBA. I just wanted to get into a general business degree and then specialize in something later on.

Im not sure where to go career wise, but my interests include finance, trading, as well as programming. (although I just started learning on my own).. My knowledge is limited, but my motivation is high..

I am a little discouraged because of the time I spent in the military, and abroad, where the only useful skills I picked up is a foreign language (Mandarin). Now I feel like I am playing catch up..

Im studying the BBA, and in terms of programming and quant, I don't know where to start. focus on my degree, and think about getting into a good related masters program? try to get a bit ahead with any programming and math training I can find? If so where is a good place.

Anyways, It's tough making a career change, and even though I am not too old, I feel like I am far behind my peers.

Cheers

Hi!! I think that coursera.com and edx.org are great places to get you started with math and programing.

Thanks, I was leaning in that direction. I'll study as much as my course load will allow, then i will have better idea where to run with it once I finish undergrad.

any of you guys use codeacademy
