If you have answered YES to more than 2 of these, you may be an ADDICT and need IMMEDIATE THERAPY
  1. You leave your computer on 24/7 and click Refresh every 45 seconds to check for new posts :D
  2. Your spouse asks where you'd like to go on vacation this year and you reply "Any place that has internet access "
  3. You post and read when you are supposed to be working
  4. You wake up in the middle of the night to check to see if anyone replied to your post
    ....

5. When people ask you "Where do you live?", you reply "quantnet.com".
6. Your happiness is directly proportional to the number of new posts.
 
7. You address your friends by their Quantnet alias such as RussianMike, AmericanBilly...
8. Your friends no longer send you email or call on your cellphone; they just send you a PM
 
9. You are not surprized to see your last post dated sometime in the middle of the night.
 
10. When someone posts something, they expect to see your reply within 1 hours. If not, they would assume that a) the electricity grid of your entire block has been shut down or b) you are typing a 500 words, well-researched, elaborate reponse to their short question.
11. Your PM inbox indicates that you are over your message quotas.
 
12. Three or more days away from the forum count as a major disaster.
 
16. when you use quantnet as a quick check for your Latex spelling.
17. when you are genuinely surprised when some of your friends tell you they've never heard of quantnet.
18. when you realize that if not for the quantnet community, you'd probably have failed some of the classes/assignments.
 
19. If you wanted to talk eloquent and felicitous to someone, you will "Go Advanced".
 
20. If, before having your morning coffee, instead of TOP <GO> you mechanically type in QUAN <DOWN ARROW><GO> in Bloomberg line.
