Anybody taking this course?

I am looking for practical skills for me to implement (low frequency) trading at home. I am planning to do it as a hobby. I enjoy playing around with data. Will this course equip me with the necessary skill? The emphasis on alpha design alongside with both machine learning and econometrics sound interesting.

I almost finish my PhD from a reputable university so I am not looking for prestige, but the skills to setup, optimize, execute and evaluate algorithmic trading strategy from home.

I am looking at this course because it's free (and the structure looks good!). The certificate of quantitative finance also looks interesting but it's kind of too expensive.
